without considering the mailing situation , i have to say i was very disappointed with the cake. i remember it as a delicious treat from my childhood. i don't know if a fresh cake was sent , or the one that was en route for a week was delivered. anyway presentation wise the cake looks very nice. but as far as taste is concerned ? i had some bad tasting cake in my life , and this one ranks right down there with them. it was very dry , best to describe it would be "cardboard". i'm sorry to say. and i was under the impression that a baumkuchen had glazing on it . for the so called " King of cakes " i really have to give this one a failing mark . richard carpenter
