When we moved to the south from the Pacific Northwest, we were introduced to this kind of cake. My youngest son insisted that we give it a try, and we enjoyed it, although I didn't think it was much different from a regular chocolate cake. We've ordered it at restaurants, made it at home, and ordered it delivered from another reputable company. HOWEVER when I ordered the Red Velvet Cake from 1-800-Bakery.com, I was completely won over. The mix of the slight sour frosting with the sweet wonderfulness of the cake, not to mention the melt in your mouth lightness of it all simply can't be compared to any other that I've tried. AND it's presentation is lovely! I have no reason to order it anywhere else and have now been completely spoiled. Thank you! I recommend this to anyone who has enjoyed Red Velvet Cake at any time and now wants to move on to the absolute best.
