This was my first red velvet cake so I have nothing to compare it to, but my family really enjoyed it! Take the plastic wrap off before the cake thaws out. I forgot to do this- the frosting gets really soft at room temperature and it makes it tricky to unwrap it. Not a big deal, I just smoothed it with a butter knife.
