Petit Four, Big Hit
Needing something different to serve with coffee at an annual Christmas party with a fairly standard guest list, I ordered two boxes of the petit fours. They were a big hit, partly because of the excellent decorations and certainly because of the delicious taste. Perfect service and delivery as well.

Took a Chance
Stollen to me is like a scone in texture. Not too sweet but extremely delicious. I ordered two, one for a gift, one for ME. Only I made the mistake of sharing with some friends and only had about a 1/2 for myself. I put in freezer and just cut off slices and let get to room temperature. I LOVED IT!! The gift receiver said she really loved hers as well. I will most likely be ordering again.

I am late writing this review because of the hectic holiday schedule, but it has been on my mind because the stollen and the service were excellent. I went online hoping to find stollen and took a shot in the dark with bakery.com. I purchased this for my December book club which kicks off the holiday season. It came frozen which was a relief to me because I worried about the freshness. It was the hit of the evening. The stollen is rich and delicious and was beyond expectation. Quality Desserts & Customer Service
First and foremost, the items I ordered (Lemon Lu Lu cake, Mountain Berry tart, and Marlenka Honey Nuggets with cocoa) were delicious, packaged extremely well and delivered on time... and I ordered just a week before Christmas!
As for the service; personal, patient, and very quick! Unbeknownst to me someone had taken one of the deliveries and placed it somewhere in the house and forgot to tell me about it. Seeing that the online tracking said that it had been delivered, I was in a bit of a panic and called. Not only was the customer service, kind, patient and willing to help they went the extra mile and called ups who then called me, and then I got a follow up call from 1-800 bakery! Finding out in the meantime that the delivery had been accepted by someone in my house and that everything was fine and well, I apologize to all involved and would highly recommend them to everyone! I will be a repeat customer for the foreseeable future!

I sent my annual 2 blueberry coffee cakes to family to enjoy during their Christmas breakfast and, as always, they were a huge success. In fact, I was told that the minute the coffee cakes were delivered, two pieces were enjoyed on the spot. I believe this has, over the past 4 Christmases, become a tradition.

Usually buy about 10 of these cakes per year for ourselves and as gifts. Everyone raves about them and the cakes are quickly consumed. Was disappointed this year that the Yellow Rose Lemon Cake and the Cheese Fudge Swirl were out of stock which resulted in several hundred dollars of lost sales. Should add a feature that allows one to order when the item is out of stock, but will be back in stock in a week or two.

My daughter loved this cake for her 30th Birthday. It arrived exactly as requested at her work address. I had originally asked it tp go to her house but realised she was working. A double order of Halloween cake pops was ordered for delivery to a friends office. The cake pops were delivered as scheduled and everyone in her office loved them. However, only a single order was delivered. The customer service rep was very helpful to immediately get the second order placed and assured delivery the next day. Because really, who wants to receive Halloween cake pops two days after Halloween.

Ordered this for my son who is in the Marines. This was his first birthday away from home so it was so important to us that he receive it. Ordered the Autumn petit fours for a woman's tea party, arrived quickly and in great condition despite the heat outside. Ice pack worked great. I didn't open the actual petit fours until the party and was somewhat disappointed that they had sent the thank you petit four box instead of the decorated autumn ones. First time ordering from your website. Wanted to send my daughter her favorite cheesecake for her birthday, she lives in so. Calif. And the cakes were coming ftom mass. I ordered the cake 6 dayss prior to br sure she would have on her bday. Due to a problemm with Ups the cake was left at the ups warehouse and there would be a days delay. Needless to say it was upsetting but Diane in Customer Service assured me it would be fine it is wrapped in dry ice ans they were refunding the shipping charges. I recently ordered the Chocolate Chambord Cake to be delivered for my husband\'s birthday as he was traveling for work and I wanted to surprise him! He got the cake on time; and he said the cake was absolutely delicious and in a way he was able to celebrate his birthday with me even though we could not be together that day!:-). My daughter loved her birthday cookie cake and did enjoy the cookie portion of it but she and her friends agreed that the frosting was so hard, it was inedible. I'm disappointed about that. Not being able to be there on her birthday is bad enough so I wanted it to be perfect. :-(

In the box provided during the ordering process, I wrote a cute Mother's Day wish, saying how "fortunate" I was to have her for a mother. The cookies arrived on time, she loved them, but unfortunately the message was not included in the package, so she thought the cookies were from my sister, since a package with a gift from my sister that DID have a personal message included arrived at the same time. Don't include a place for a message if you aren't going to put it in the package.

I purchased some petite fours for Mother's Day towards the end of April... The shipping at checkout gave me the option for "mothers day shipping" and I selected it to be delivered for around that day (usually it's a day or two before if not on time with most of these companies) however my mother received her treat on May 2nd which was much sooner than the timeframe I selected. I ordered kolaczki late night on Tuesday, 3/24 to be delivered on Friday, 3/27 with overnight shipping. When I didn't receive any tracking, I called up 1-800-bakery for an update. They sent me an update within a few hours, but told me that the gift order was mailed to me, and not the recipient. The representative said they could ship another box to arrive the next day on Saturday. I said OK. The package did not arrive until Monday. The kolaczki was tasty though, and I was glad to receive a free box to make up for the mistakes and late delivery.

I had reservations about ordering a cake from an unknown online bakery, but I was overwhelmingly surprised at this great cake. First of all I judge food on how well it is presented. I look at decoration, texture, placement of decorations. This cake looked just like the picture, it was beautiful with a beautiful professional design and very well decorated edges and sides. The icing was evenly placed and the writing on it was perfect. Then there was the taste! It tasted sooo good! The icing almost melted in your mouth. The cake was very moist and soft. Scrumptious Treat
We decided to treat ourselves to a King Cake since we never had one and it sure was a hit with the Family. Not only did we receive it in record time it was fresh and yummy tasting. It also came with some beads and masks which was an added bonus. The babies that usually go into the cake came separately for us to insert in the cake. To be honest I would have loved them to be inside the cake for added fun, but I can understand why they sent them like that. Stollen for Christmas
I used to buy terrific stolen from a native German (Captain Mueller) who sold his German breads at a farmer's market in New Orleans. Logistics precluded that this year and we love having a good Christmas bread to celebrate. So I tried your stollen. It is definitely different from Captain Mueller's in several respects, but it is very good. We are heavy coffee drinkers and loved eating your bread with our freshly ground morning coffee and chicory.

For the size, the cake was incredibly filling. The cake was dense, moist, and most of all tastey. With ordinary cakes, the frosting is too much to handle. The frosting on this cake was perfect in taste, sweetness, and quanity. The cake was best when chilled, I must say. It was a hit with everyone who tried it. On top of the taste, the cake was gorgeous. The shape and quality of the cake from the visual was outstanding. You would not know that it was delivered. If you are looking for a large cake, this is not for you. But if you are looking to feed 6 people, giving each a generous serving, then this is an absolute must.

This was our first 1-800-Bakery order. We ordered cookie cakes for an office birthday gathering. The process was easy and they delivered on time. We couldn't decide which coffee cake to try, and very much appreciate having the option of trying three! My husband is the chocoholic in our house, so his favorite was the Chocolate Chip coffee cake, while I am still at a toss up between the cinnamon walnut and the blueberry crumb. I usually prefer the berries, but both cakes were so moist, that the berries didn't seem as if they had to be there in order to make the cake moist and tasty. Amazing!! Our order of fortune cookies were to help celebrate our college freshman's first birthday away from home. By all reports the cookies were delicious, they had a fun look to them and an equally fun presentation.
One limitation of the cookies were the messages included within each cookie; apparently they were somewhat dated. The recipient and her friends reported each "fortune's" intended audience was somewhat older; the messages were a bit on the bland side. We would have expected the message to be similar to actual fortune cookies with birthday wishes included.

I got this as a birthday gift for a co-worker who loves fortune cookies and inspirational messages. Loved the idea of the personalized message in the cookie. I did not see it in person but the cookie arrived on time, looked nice per picture I received and tasted really good per 3 people I spoke with. Nice original gift. Probably will do something similar for my husband for valentines day.
