Stollen from La Patisserie Bakery.
La Patisserie has been making this same recipe Stollen for 20+ years.!
You may think of it as German or European Stollen, but it is made right here in USA.
What a treat it is... so rich ..we believe you'll not find any better ... anywhere ! Of course, our Stollen has candied fruit and raisins in it ; but one extra step is we soak our raisins in Myers Rum for 72 hours before folding them in to the special yeast dough and then baked to a golden brown. As they come out of our ovens each one is brushed with drawn butter and rolled in sugar.
Here is what one customer replied with on our Stollen
"Sir, You asked for some feed back on the quality of the stollen you sell. On Christmas morning, as the stollen heats in the oven the butter slowly weeps out. The fragrance of butter, rum and citrus waft in the air and my wife and I smile. It smells great, but the proof is in the eating. Coffee is poured, and the stollen is sliced. Wow! This is truly a great one, quite possibly the best I have ever eaten. The start of a delightful day. Thanks to you. Have a happy New Year! James Curtis El Paso, Texas
