Petit fours come in all kinds of varieties - sweet, glazed, salty and savory. "Petit four" means "small oven", referring to the small amount of heat left over in 19th century French coal ovens after cooking meat. The clever chefs realized they could save on the cost of cooking by using the cool-down phase to make petit fours.
The petit fours on our site are all made from rich sponge cake layered with buttercream and covered in rolled fondant. Petit fours can be sent as gifts to friends and family, or delivered to the office as part of an employee engagement program.
